Donny Justin Lloyd of Fort McMurray, Alta., Canada, ran into a neighbor and related a number of his recent exploits. For instance, three years ago he had shot two deer when his hunting license restricted him to one. He also told of several other fish and wildlife violations. The neighbor happens to be an enforcement officer with Alberta Fish and Wildlife. Lloyd’s bragging was confirmed with physical evidence, including text messages to friends and family, complete with photos. Lloyd pleaded guilty to a number of violations and was fined C$6,450 (US$4,750), forfeited the illegally taken animals, and is not allowed to hunt for one year.
