Psychotropical Birds

The pills were colorful, and they were scattered across the grass at a Huntington Beach, Calif., park. Perhaps they got the birds’ attention. It’s not clear exactly what the orange, blue, yellow, white, and green drugs were — antidepressants or anti anxiety meds, perhaps even heart medication — but at least two birds apparently ate them. A Canada goose and a ring billed gull lost control of their muscles and were flushed with intravenous fluids by the Wetlands and Wildlife Care Center. Lisa Perrone of the center said the birds had “a good prognosis.” But other birds may have taken pills and flown away. (AC/Modesto Bee) ...So please report any birds you see flying high.
