By posing as a 19-year-old “Instagram celebrity,” say police in Apopka, Fla., Richard Brown, 25, lured a 17-year-old girl to his house, saying he would “take care of her.” Brown was too lazy to travel to San Antonio, Texas, to pick the girl up, so he paid Uber to bring her to him. Once the girl realized Brown wasn’t 19 years old — or any sort of “celebrity,” she told him she wanted to go home; Brown, the girl says, told her, “no, you owe me now for bringing you all the way here.” The girl escaped, and Brown has been charged with six counts of felony child sex abuse.
