The Gig Economy
The Wall Street Journal published a handy article for freelancers: “What to Wear to Work — When You Work at Home”. The Los Angeles-based female reporter, who has been working from home for 17 years, gave specific suggestions. How about a $125 sweater with $325 “on-trend” pants over $645 loafers, all topped by a $3,100 Prada bag? If a $4,195 outfit isn’t in your budget, the other suggestion is a $225 shirt over a $188 “smooth bodysuit,” a $690 pair of shoes, and a $2,990 Carolina Herrera coat, reaching a much more affordable total of $4,093. And for men? They weren’t mentioned at all. (RC/Wall Street Journal) ...Because there’s not much to say about a $7 V-neck T-shirt over a $24 pair of jeans, with a $3 pair of flip flops.Original Publication Date: 09 December 2018
