The Last Word

Hubert Martini, 64, died recently, and apparently he knew of his impending death: he wrote his own obituary for Trierischer Volksfreund, a newspaper in Bernkastel-Kues, Germany. He described himself as “open, honest and unforgiving.” Also, he admitted “I have hurt some people — and that’s good.” He apparently wanted that to continue after he was gone, because he also forbade his five siblings and their families from attending his memorial. (RC/AP) ...Who says they wanted to go?
