The Old Ball and Chain
Tammy Lee Hinton’s fourth wedding may be her most memorable: after the ceremony in Leoni Township, Mich., the 53-year-old bride was arrested on a two-year-old felony warrant; she allegedly stole her son’s identity to obtain utility services and a credit card. Officers allowed Hinton to pose for her wedding photos, and she then declined to change out of her dress and veil for her booking. “She was not in jail for more than 15 minutes, maybe a half hour,” a police spokesman said. “She was able to bond right out” so her new husband could pick her up for their reception. But when Hinton didn’t show up for a court hearing the next business day as promised, the judge issued another warrant. Officers arrested her again, and now she is being held on $100,000 bond. (AC/Jackson Citizen Patriot) ...She did, however, have to lift her veil for the mug shot.Story Update: I actually found her mug shot later, and she did have her veil lifted for it.
