Ticked Off

The Miyazaki, Japan, Prefectural Government held a press conference after a resident came down with the tick-borne disease thrombocytopenia syndrome. The room was searched but the tick couldn’t be found, so officials sprayed the room down with insecticide. “We should have been more careful about safety management as the prefecture is in a position to alert its people,” Miyazaki Governor Shunji Kono said. (MS/Kyodo) ...Maybe it would’ve been better to spray it before they displayed it.
