Trophy Employee
After Amy Pohlman, 48, started work as an advanced registered nurse practitioner for a home health care company in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., she put an award from the Mayo Clinic in her office. When her employer tried to verify her license, they couldn’t find one — nor could they confirm she had a Ph.D in nursing, as she said she had. The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office investigated, and arrested Pohlman and charged her with practicing as a health care professional without a license. Had she fooled the Mayo Clinic, then? Nope: she had the award made in a trophy shop in Jacksonville. (RC/WTEV Jacksonville) ...She’s a shoo-in for Florida Inmate of the Year.Original Publication Date: 26 March 2017
