Unchristian
“As you can see, our cupboards are empty, our freezers are empty,” said Pastor Alvin Christian, who runs the God’s Store House Food Bank in Bluefield, W.V. “We have nothing in the warehouse as far as food-wise as of this moment.” It’s not because no one is offering to provide food for Christian’s food bank, which he claims serves 800 families per day, but “because I done some research” and decided to refuse donations from Feeding America, founded in 1979 and now the largest food charity in the U.S. He believes it’s “part of the gay rights movement,” he said in a video he has since taken down. It’s not: it merely does not discriminate against people’s sexual identities. Not good enough for Christian: “I will not be with them. I refuse to be tied in to something of that nature that’s totally an abomination against God.” (RC/Augusta Free Press) ...Because starving children isn’t.Original Publication Date: 16 August 2026
