Was His Name Tom?

Norfolk (Va.) Fire Rescue Battalion Chief Harry Worley wants to make it clear: “This is not something we normally do.” Rescue cats from trees, that is. But the department pretty much had to roll when a man climbed up to rescue the cat, and got “stuck” himself, 50 feet off the ground. Worley’s crew, then, rescued the unnamed man, and “since they had the gear already deployed,” Worley said, “they tried to see if they could rescue the cat.” They did, and everyone walked away unharmed. (RC/Norfolk Virginian-Pilot) ...Did the firefighters first try to coax the guy down by opening a can of tuna?
