Welcome to America

A Portuguese immigrant who recently arrived in Philadelphia, Pa., went to a drive-up ATM. He doesn’t speak English, but he grasped the meaning of the gun a robber stuck in his face. The unnamed immigrant drove off, but later returned in hopes of recovering his debit card, which he’d left in the ATM when he fled. Police say the attacker was still there and pounced again. So the immigrant rammed into him, went through the fallen robber’s pockets, and retrieved his money and card. Police, who found the 49-year-old robber in the street, say he will be charged when he gets out of the hospital, and the driver, barring new evidence, will not be. (AC/Philadelphia Inquirer) ...He hasn’t learned English, but he’s already contributing to our country.
