Went Around, Came Around
When he was 12 years old, Tim Kirk of Post Falls, Idaho, used his mother’s red fingernail polish to put his initials on several quarters — “T” on the front, and “K” on the back. “I spent the quarters,” he said. “Probably bought some candy or something. I never thought about it again.” Not until recently, when he noticed a quarter in some change he was given: it had a nail polish “T” on the front. He turned it over, and sure enough there was a “K” on the back. Kirk, now 36, says he plans to hang on to the coin.
