This winter, Cresson Borough, Pa., will try a new product to help melt icy streets: “Ice B’ Gone Magic” is made from the “remnants of the distilling process” of rum and vodka. “It virtually eliminates the black ice,” says landscaper Clinton Smith, who sells the concoction. “What’s beneficial out of this is the sugars.” (RC/Altoona Mirror) ...Right, since making the roadway sticky increases traction.Original Publication Date: 11 November 2018
