Wrong Turn

A woman pulled up to the booth and ordered a breakfast sandwich. The problem? The sheriff’s office says Lizabeth Ildefonso, 44, was driving intoxicated, which was evidenced by white powder residue on her nose — and the fact she had not pulled up at a fast-food stand, but rather the security booth outside the county jail in Riverhead, N.Y. “The driver insisted that she really wanted a sandwich,” said a spokesman for the Suffolk County’s Sheriff’s Office. Ildefonso was instead arrested, charged with felony-level driving while ability impaired by drugs, and driving without a license. (RC/WPIX New York) ...The most telling part: she knew the way to the jail even when high.
