Sheriff’s deputies were summoned to a home in Bay City, Mich., after a swingers party got violent. Amber K. Schomaker, 28, was jealous when her 33-year-old husband had a tryst with another woman while she was similarly engaged with the homeowner’s fiancé — which is pretty much the point of a swingers party. Schomaker allegedly jumped into her minivan, jumped the curb, and tried to run over her husband. When deputies arrived, Schomaker allegedly had a screwdriver in her hand, her husband was bleeding from his forehead, and witnesses say she had almost run down two other men. Ms. Schomaker also admitted she had drunk a half-bottle of vodka, which police say spiked her blood alcohol level to 0.156 percent. She was arrested for drunk driving, domestic violence, and three felony counts of assault with a dangerous weapon. Mr. Schomaker was also arrested, charged with violating a protection order requiring him to stay away from his wife. (RC/Bay City Times) ...But your honor! He was avoiding her the best he could!
