You’ve Got ...um... Mail?
“This neighborhood does a lot of quirky things,” says Jordan Lewis of the Belhaven community in Jackson, Miss. “That’s why I love this neighborhood, because they do so many strange things, but it’s definitely one of the weirdest things I’ve seen since living in Jackson.” Lewis had discovered a bowl of mashed potatoes had been left on her car, and when she posted her discovery on Facebook, she found out that there were other instances all over her community. “I got up and was headed to work, 7 o’clock,” Sebastian Bjernegard said, “and there was just a styrofoam bowl of mashed potatoes on the door steps.” Nobody knows who left the mashed spuds. “They’ve found it on their mailboxes, on their cars,” Lewis said, “so we don’t know if someone is just playing a prank, or if someone just had a lot of leftovers.” (MS/WJBT Jackson) ...It was a graveyard smash.Original Publication Date: 05 May 2019
