Zimmer was Framed

Police patrolling in Jersey City, N.J., heard a man yelling, “Help me, I just got stabbed!” The victim pointed out his escaping assailant to the officers: he was 20 yards away, “walking at a fast pace” away from them — using a walker. Officers caught up with Andrew L. Stephens, 70, “almost immediately.” A witness confirmed the two men had been arguing, and Stephens pulled out “a long knife” and stabbed the unnamed 49-year-old victim. Stephens was arrested on charges of aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
