#Unfit, #Immature, #MaybeCrazy

Traci Gauthier, a teacher at Skyline High School in Longmont, Colo., posted a photo of a student on Instagram, captioning it “STEM kids are trying too hard. I don’t know him, but I hate him. #pothead, #STEM, #wannabecool, #dorkywhiteboy” — the latter being “hashtags” categorizing her own comments. When the student, freshman Phoenix Bowen, learned of the public online post, he replied, “You can’t hate me, you don’t know me.” Gauthier almost immediately responded, “I know I don’t know you-but I can hate anyone I’d like. #Nobig, #Dontbesad, #MeanArtTeacher.” The boy is particularly upset about being labeled a pothead — he says he doesn’t use marijuana. Erich Bowen, Phoenix’s father, asked the school to fire the teacher. “This is bullying,” he said. “This is a lot of lines crossed.” School officials say Gauthier is “no longer a teacher” in the district, but wouldn’t say if she had been fired, or resigned. (RC/KDVR Denver, Boulder Daily Camera) ...It’s probably time she left high school — she never grew up.
