And Don’t Come Back
Guan Chen went to Bubba Changs restaurant to pick up back wages and personal belongings two days after he had been fired. According to Livingston County, Mich., Sheriff Bob Bezotte, John Hamilton, the owner of the Chinese-American buffet, chased Chen into the parking lot and then went back inside and called his brother, Jeremy, who showed up and started arguing with Chen. Then, the bat came out. Jeremy Hamilton “beat the crap out of [Chen’s] truck,” Bezotte said. “He knocked out the windows and demolished the truck.” Bezotte says both brothers are thought to have used the bat on the truck. Chen’s friend, who was sitting in the truck, suffered a skull fracture after John allegedly chased him through the parking lot and assaulted him before leaving the scene. John Hamilton couldn’t be located, but Jeremy was arrested. Bezotte said Jeremy was uncooperative, and detectives were denied access to the restaurant, so they closed the restaurant until they could obtain a search warrant to enter.
