And Gary Gauthier, the host of the “It’s God’s Money” radio show, “talked about scriptures and the Bible, and we were just very comfortable in his presence.” Gauthier taught that everything, including money, belongs to God, who wants his creatures to use it. So the Whites put $50,000 in the real estate investments the radio host was pitching. But they and their fellow investors learned a different lesson: they lost their money. One condo took a loss; two projects never happened. Prosecutors claim it was all really a Ponzi scheme.
