Police said Derrick Mosley, 22, went into a Beaverton, Ore., store, smashed a display case, and grabbed one of the store’s wares. But the store manager was armed. He pointed his gun at the would-be thief and ordered him to let go of his weapons and hit the floor. Police said Mosley had arrived with a bat and a knife, but the semi-automatic handgun he was trying to steal from Discount Gun Sales wasn’t loaded. Mosley, outgunned, was arrested. (AC/Portland Oregonian) ...He was charged with the attempted theft at Discount Gun Sales, as well as a completed theft at Discount Brain Sales.
