Can You Hear Me Now?

According to police in Hialeah, Fla., Jorge Jove, 64, was upset at two AT&T bucket trucks, “because the trucks were parked in front of his driveway, and he feared damage to his pavers.” Jove was seen “having words” with one of the workers, then went back into his house and came out about an hour later — carrying his .357 revolver. According to the police report, Jove later furnished a statement stating he went “bananas.” As one of the AT&T workers recorded the scene on video with his cell phone, while simultaneously reporting the incident to a 911 dispatcher, Jove shot at the tires and truck to [keep] the AT&T workers from leaving prior to police arrival.” One responding officer said he saw Jove fire at one of the workers who was in a raised bucket. The officer told Jove to put down the weapon, and he complied. Jove faces charges of aggravated assault with a firearm, and armed criminal mischief. He was released after posting a $30,000 bond. (MS/Miami Herald) ...Getting out of jail was on his “bucket list.”
