Carfishing
When Kelton Griffin showed up for his date with Faith Pugh, he didn’t bring a car. When he went out with her godsister, he did — Pugh’s Volvo, she says. Griffin and Pugh had stopped at a gas station near the Memphis, Tenn., airport, and he’d asked her to go in and get him a cigar. “I came outside and my car was gone,” Pugh said. But then her godsister texted her to say Griffin, an acquaintance of Pugh’s from high school, had asked her out — and Pugh and her mother met them at a drive in theater. “She actually paid their way to get in the drive in just so I could get my car back.” Griffin was arrested. (AC/WREG Memphis) ...Which drive in theater? The one where the Yelp reviews say, “Don’t miss the real drama in the parking lot!”Original Publication Date: 22 July 2018
