Deputies with Florida’s Volusia County Sheriff’s Office spotted two fugitives in a stolen car. They tried to pull it over, but the driver sped off instead, starting a chase, which only ended after backup units were able to get in the vehicle’s path to deploy “stop sticks” to pop the vehicle’s tires. Matthew White, 32, and Amber Taynor, 24, were arrested on several warrants and multiple new charges, such as possession of heroin and cocaine. But before heading to jail, the couple posed with police for a photo of their capture: both are smiling broadly.
