Choo Choo Snooze

Police in Auburn, Ala., received a call saying a woman was lying on the railroad tracks, and she may have been hit by a train. Officers responded and found Lynsey Horne, 22, lying between the rails on the tracks, unharmed. “The train did pass over her, but did not hit her,” said Police Chief Paul Register. Capt. Lorenza Dorsey said Horne’s small size and the size of the train (just two engines and one car) may have contributed to Horne escaping injury. “I’ve been here for 28 years, and I have never seen anyone get passed over by a moving freight train and survive it,” Dorsey said. Horne was taken to the hospital for examination — and then booked into jail, charged with public intoxication. (MS/Opelika-Auburn News) ...Sometimes it’s better to be lucky than smart.
