Dammit Jim, I’m a Criminal, Not a Doctor!
Police in Oklahoma City, Okla., arrested Jimmy McCoy on a burglary charge. McCoy apparently faked a seizure, and was taken to a hospital. There, he told officers he needed to use the restroom, and officers escorted him there — and removed his handcuffs. McCoy ran. Pursuing officers caught up with him in a patient’s room: McCoy, they say, was standing on the patient and trying to climb into the ceiling to escape. McCoy ran again, and tried to dive through a window to freedom. He bounced off the window — a good thing, since he was on the sixth floor. Officers had to pepper-spray him to gain control and take McCoy back into custody. The patient he had been standing on died, so McCoy is now charged with murder.
