Delayed Delivery

The American Postal Workers Union is arguing against reducing mail delivery days, as that would lead to Postal Service staff reductions. As part of their argument, they say that the growing trend toward mail-in ballots for elections shows reliable daily mail service is sorely needed. The union uses mail-in ballots for their own elections, for national union officers. But counting those ballots have been slowed: most of them have been lost in the mail. Union officials say members can request a duplicate ballot — by e-mailing the union offices. (RC/WFED-radio) ...The workers that are laid off? Send them their severance checks by mail.
