Four Wheeling In Florida

Shannon R. Majors, 30, of Panama City, Fla., is facing charges after wrecking a dune-buggy-style ATV while riding with two children, aged 5 and 2. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the vehicle overturned and rolled on its side. Majors was unable to right the vehicle or get up, so the two boys went to find help. Majors is paralyzed from the waist down, but that wasn’t caused by the accident: he was already paralyzed from an earlier incident. He drove the vehicle using PVC pipe to operate the gas and brake pedals, and wasn’t able to right the vehicle because of his handicap. He sustained “serious” injuries in the crash. (MS/Northwest Florida Daily News) ...Apparently there is some paralysis between his ears, too, but this wasn’t caused by the crash either.
