When a 2016 Dodge Challenger came into the Manheim Auto Auction facility in Lancaster County, Pa., by truck, an employee started inspecting the car and taking photos to prepare it for auction. “I opened the trunk to take a trunk picture,” said employee Darren Leeds, “and there was a guy in there.” Leeds ran to get the man some water: he “wasn’t moving a whole lot.” After hospital treatment, police identified the man as Leon Cyheime Parks, 25, of New York — and he had a warrant out for his arrest for weapons and parole violations. Immediately, speculation started about how Parks ended up locked in the car’s trunk. “We asked the security people,” said one auction house employee. “We thought they were kidding.” But Arnold Kubanov is clued in: “Unfortunately a lot of drivers leave their cars open,” he said. “I started locking my cars after I saw a bomb.” (RC/Harrisburg Patriot-News, WFMZ Allentown) ...Well thank goodness for remote keyless entry.
