Going Medieval
A woman was kicking and screaming — as well she might: she’d gone to sleep on a couch at a friend’s Chicago, Ill., apartment, and now some guy was punching her, choking her, and trying to undress her. That’s when her knight came to the rescue. Mac Dolan says he wielded a sword he and his roommate, John Zuercher, had bought for $100 from Medieval Times, the “dinner and tournament” entertainment restaurant. (“We’re ‘Game of Thrones’ guys,” says Zuercher.) The intruder fled, but dropped his wallet in the knights’ apartment. Francisco Chavez, 39, was arrested when he reported his wallet stolen, charged with home invasion, attempted aggravated criminal sexual assault, and aggravated criminal sexual abuse.
