Gone in 60 Minutes

Police in South Yorkshire, England, responded to a crash on the M1 motorway. The driver claimed his car “went airborne and burst into flames,” constables say. Police note that “Officers asked the driver what sort of car he ‘had’,” according to a police Twitter post, “to which he replied ‘It was a Ferrari’.” — a 200,000 pound (US$289,000) Ferrari 430 Scuderia “supercar” (only 499 of which were ever made) — that he had purchased less than an hour before. Police noted the man was able to walk away from the wreck with mere bruises. (RC/London Independent) ...Especially to his ego.
