Guilty Conscience
When Jasper Harrison, 47, heard a police helicopter orbiting above him in Edgewater, Fla., he knew the jig was up. He called 911 to admit, “I’m the guy they’re looking for.” He gave the dispatcher his location — at the storage unit where he grows marijuana — and waited for officers to arrive. But it was a news helicopter, not a police bird, and they weren’t looking for him, they were reporting on a nearby news event. Harrison was arrested on charges of cultivating cannabis within 1,000 feet of a school, and possession of marijuana with intent to sell. (RC/Orlando Sentinel) ...Harrison sounds like the sort of guy who would have benefitted by spending more time inside that school.Original Publication Date: 27 December 2015
