Heroes Get Remembered, but Legends Never Die
A fan of the 1993 movie The Sandlot was wearing a shirt celebrating the film. “You’re killin’ me, Smalls” — a quote from the movie — read the shirt, under a picture of “Ham” Porter, the character who said the line. Two other men — obviously fans as well — stopped the guy on the street and snapped a selfie of the three of them. “Said nice shirt to this dude walking by us and he had no idea what we were talking about,” the photographer tweeted. “Thought I would capture the moment.” What the fan had no idea about was who the other men were: actors Patrick Renna, who played Ham, and Tom Guiry, who played Smalls. Renna’s tweet went viral, with most comments turning the line back on the oblivious fan, or quoting other lines from the movie. (MS/CBS) ...Everybody gets one chance to do something great.
