An ambulance was called to assist three teenage males with burned bottoms. Police were called too — but emergency crews determined the cause wasn’t assault, but rather the guys’ own idea. The previous night, the lads had tried to “brand” themselves with a fire poker. Why, then, the next afternoon call? Apparently the Toowoomba, Qld., Australia, lads didn’t recognize the wisdom of seeking help until the next day. Burn treatment was provided at the scene.
