His Face Rings a Bell

A woman in Birmingham, England, was surfing Facebook when the social media site presented her with “people you may know” — suggesting she “Friend” them. One of those people startled her, since she recognized him instantly as the man who had held her up at knifepoint. She called police. The Facebook connection was “a crucial part of the investigation,” said Detective Constable Rhiannon Daff, representing “the final piece of the jigsaw.” Omar Famuyide, 21, was tied in to multiple robberies, and he has been sentenced to 17 years in prison.
