Hop Pursuit

According to police records, a wallaby worked its way onto the famous Sydney Harbour Bridge and headed into Sydney, NSW, Australia. “I’m from the bush, so I’m used to see them running around all over the place,” said a witness only identified as Ray. “But I’ve never seen one so close to the city before.” The wallaby slowed down traffic on the bridge briefly as it was spotted by drivers. “Traffic controllers,” police said, “monitored the wallaby as it hopped across to lane 1 and, without indicating, exited onto Cahill Expressway.” From there, the pursuit moved to downtown Sydney. “Officers took the startled macropod into police custody near the Conservatorium of Music,” police continued. “With the police mounted unit arriving on scene soon after to take it to the zoo for veterinary assessment.” (MS/Reuters) ...It’ll be held at the zoo until it pays the fine for exiting without signaling.
