I Was a Bad BoyPolice in Gaston, N.C., say it’s rare for someone to report such a crime, but Daniel Lee Jones, 22, did. He told officers he was trying to buy some marijuana from a man, when suddenly he found himself at gunpoint as the dealer demanded all of his money — including the $1,400 he’d brought for the buy. “I understand I was doing something illegal,” Jones said later. “I was buying marijuana. That’s wrong.” But, he said, he didn’t want the dealer to get away with a bigger crime. “I don’t deserve to be treated like that.” And, he promised, “I’ll never smoke marijuana again in my life.” Police say they expect to make an arrest in the case. (JW/Gaston Gazette) ...Yeah: if all else fails, they’ll bust Jones.
