Indoor Rugby

Paul Reid, 34, was on trial for sex offenses in London, England, when he suddenly bolted for the door. The closest person to him was Judge Douglas Marks Moore, 60, who lit off after him. The judge, wearing full robes and the traditional powdered wig, “grabbed him round the throat to try to bring him down,” said the prosecutor, but Reid got free and ran down a corridor, with the judge in hot pursuit. “Marks Moore rugby-tackled him around the throat and waist and brought him crashing to the ground, landing on top of him,” the prosecutor said. Reid had escaped another courtroom the same way two years before, but denied he was trying to escape this time. (RC/Reuters) ...Sure: he was trying to find his way back to the other courtroom.
