Invisible Man

A cashier at a Fort Pierce, Fla., Walgreens told police that a man approached her with a confession. According to her statement, the man explained that four or five months earlier, he had been in the store while using “street drugs.” “According to [the man], the drugs gave him the ability to become invisible,” the report states. He said he “used his powers of invisibility to pass through the counter and take a carton of Kool brand menthol cigarettes undetected.” Now, however, he felt guilty and wanted to pay for the $60 carton of cigarettes. He left his debit card — which had an $8 balance — and phone number on the counter and started wandering the aisles. The clerk called the police. However, video surveillance of the alleged crime couldn’t be obtained and the man didn’t have any of the smokes left, so no charges were pressed. The man was issued a trespass warning and escorted off the property. (MS/WPTV West Palm Beach) ...With a stern warning that they didn’t want to see him again.
