Marked Man

Police in Neenah, Wisc., were summoned to an apartment building: a man was trying to run over someone in the parking lot, a witness reported. Officers got there quickly, since the building is across the street from the police station. Sure enough, Bryce A. Hinkel, 28, was still behind the wheel of his car, and witnesses say he had been trying to run down his ex-girlfriend’s fiancé. Hinkel was charged with attempted first-degree intentional homicide, and operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated — his fourth offense in five years. Now it gets weird: Hinkel admitted he had been drinking. His ex said he had been drinking anything with alcohol he could get his hands on: vodka, vanilla extract, and food coloring. Sure enough, Hinkel’s lips, tongue and teeth were stained blue-green from the alcohol-based colors. (RC/Appleton Post-Crescent) ...Though his pants and car seat were stained yellow.
