Mothers I’d Like to Fire

An officer in Miramar, Fla., stopped Lisset Llauro, 39, after seeing her run over plastic lane markers. Llauro seemed disoriented, smelled of alcohol, and had slurred speech, so the officer conducted sobriety tests, which she allegedly failed. According to the police report, she declined to offer a blood or urine sample, and was arrested and charged with driving under the influence. The location of the offense: the student pick up line at Silver Lakes Elementary School. During her first hearing, Judge John “Jay” Hurley ordered her released without bond, but also ordered Llauro to be subject to random alcohol and drug testing, as well as have the state’s Department of Children & Families check on her three children. “It looks like you’re picking up your kids while you’re impaired by something and that’s very concerning,” Hurley said. (MS/South Florida Sun-Sentinel) ...It’s one thing if your kids drive you to drink; it’s another thing if you drink to drive your kids.
