Multitasking, Australian Style
Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull is taking heat for a photo he posted on social media. The picture shows Turnbull in the stands at an Australian-rules football game holding his granddaughter Alice — and a beer in his other hand. The caption: “multi-tasking”. Some voters were unhappy. “Does anyone see anything irresponsible with an adult hold[ing] a baby and juggling a beer?” one asked. “And when was drinking while holding a child OK?” Not everyone is so upset: “If anything this has made the Prime Minister look a bit more personable to the public,” says Sen. Sarah Hanson-Young, who is often critical of the PM. “This was beautiful and I take my hat off to the Prime Minister,” Sen. Pauline Hanson said. “Anyone who’s whingeing — go and get a life, get over it, move on.” (MS/Sydney Telegraph) ...It’s social media: you’ve got to wait at least 15 minutes for this to pass.Original Publication Date: 24 September 2017
