Paging Bill Dana
Jose Jimenez, 26, was filling in a job application at a mobile phone shop in Westwood, Mass., when a state trooper came in, “went up to him and said, ‘let’s go.’ Jimenez replied, ‘let’s go,’ and was taken into custody without further incident,” a state police spokesman said. What, it’s illegal for a brown guy to fill in a job application? What’s this country coming to?! Well, no: even though the clerk in the store noted Jimenez “was as cool as a cucumber,” he had just led a high-speed pursuit, fleeing troopers trying to arrest him for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. When he got ahead of a trooper, state police say, Jimenez parked his car at a school, ran into the wireless shop, and asked for a job application. When troopers caught up to the empty car, witnesses pointed them in that direction. (RC/WBZ Boston) ...And sure enough, now Jimenez has more bars.Original Publication Date: 24 September 2017
