New Meat-Scented Tires

A Cumberland County, N.C., sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to investigate a complaint of a dog which bit the tire of a girl’s bicycle, flattening it. When the deputy arrived she didn’t find a girl, a bicycle, or a dog, so she went to the caller’s house. She parked in the caller’s driveway, but the caller’s dog apparently objected to the cruiser’s presence: it bit all four of the vehicle’s tires, popping them all. “The dog didn’t try to attack the deputy,” a department spokeswoman said. “He just doesn’t like tires.” (RC/Fayette Observer) ...Yeah, well, what have tires ever done for him?
