Every demonstrator who showed up at Marche Central in Montreal, Que., Canada, wore a pink shirt, a dark jacket, and khaki pants. And she didn’t look very happy. Thirty six thousand people had expressed interest in the protest against the high price of gasoline; five thousand had said they’d go; one — count her: one! — showed up.
