School textbook publisher Sanseido KK has recalled 10,000 textbooks from Japanese schools over a hand-drawn illustration of a little girl who, on close inspection, has three arms. A spokesman for the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology says such errors are rare in textbooks, which are screened before release, but a student noticed the error in the first-grade language book.
