Reject the Blame and Take the Credit

A news crew from KGTV in San Diego, Calif., spotted a freshly painted word on the street at an intersection in Lemon Grove: “STPO”. The station reached out to the city of Lemon Grove, which blamed Statewide Stripes, a contractor that had been hired for “annual street rehabilitation work.” The company quickly fixed the mistake, and a city spokesman couldn’t help but add that the city is “pleased we were able to bring a smile and levity to everyone’s day.” (RC/KGTV San Diego) ...Oh STPO IT! You’re embarrassing yourselves.
