Skeleton in the Closet
Several months after Bruce Roberts died, cleaners began clearing out his Sydney, NSW, Australia, property. According to neighbors, Roberts was a hoarder and had lived in the house for 40 or 50 years, so there was a lot of trash to sort through. But none of them expected to find a dead body rolled up in a carpet. The body was mummified, and it took a post mortem exam to even determine the sex of the deceased, now identified as a male in his 30s or 40s who had significant injuries before his death. Police believe Roberts hid the body in his house sometime before his own death. The man’s identity hasn’t been released pending notification of his family, and investigators are trying to determine the connection between the two men. Police haven’t formally determined the cause of death, and say that Roberts isn’t a suspect “at this stage.” (MS/ABC Australia) ...Roberts, as usual, had nothing to say.Original Publication Date: 03 June 2018
