Stealing Stinks

“We can infer they beat a very hasty retreat, with a somewhat bitter taste in their mouth,” said Laverton, W.A., Australia, Police Sr. Sgt. Heath Soutar. That bit about the taste might not be a mere figure of speech: he was talking about one or more individuals who attempted to siphon fuel from a bus, but instead dipped into the vehicle’s sewage tank; the culprit may have sucked up some of the contents of the tank. Soutar said his agency has “absolutely zero interest” in recovering the stolen waste, but hoped “word of mouth” would help lead officers to the offender. (AC/Western Australian) ...If there’s word going around that someone sucked human waste out of a bus, hasn’t he been punished enough?
