Stuck It Where It Didn’t Belong

A man broke into a home in Tuscumbia, Ala., and one of the residents jumped him. That woke up another resident, and the three men wrestled on the floor until one got the robber’s knife away from him, and held it to his crotch. “Then the victim who first started fighting with the robber, for whatever reason, bites the tip of his nose off,” a detective said. “It was still laying there inside the residence when we got there.” The robber got away when one of the men ran off to retrieve a shotgun, but William T. Cole, 40, turned himself in later, presumably to get medical attention. (RC/Florence Times Daily) ...What does he mean, “for whatever reason”? Obviously it was to spite his face.
